Deborah Jonscher started her career in government with the City of Kansas City, Kansas in 1997 working as an accountant in the Finance Department. She later became Business Office Manager for Public Works Department before returning to Finance as the Assistant Finance Director in 2009. She was promoted to Deputy CFO in 2017. As Deputy CFO for the Unified Government, Ms. Jonscher oversaw the day-to-day operations of the department, as well as, being involved in the annual financial statement audits, the budget process and capital financing. Ms. Jonscher now serves as Acting CFO.
Ms. Jonscher is a lifelong resident of the City of Kansas City, Kansas, earning BS in Accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is also a Certified Public Accountant and GFOA member.
